CECOMSA and its commitment to the evolution of the Gaming Market

(Santo Domingo, Exclusive SoloAzar) - During the 18th and 19th of September, GAT Showcase Santo Domingo was held, and there, Rosa Elena Rodriguez, Marketing Coordinator at CECOMSA, shared with us the innovations that the company has presented in this event.

“CECOMSA is the result of a continuous evolution and adaptation to changes in its 38-year history,” begins the interview Rosa Elena Rodriguez, Marketing Coordinator at CECOMSA. She goes on to explain about the company and the novelties presented at GAT Showcase Santo Domingo: ‘What once started as a company to develop computer systems and applications in the region of Santiago, today has become the most important Dominican company in the ICT sector in our country.

- Witek: Specialised in scanners and ticket verifiers.
- Sewoo: High quality Korean printers.
- Starken: Chairs, benches and all kinds of furniture for the agencies.
Continuing with the interview, Rosa Elena Rodríguez reflected on the evolution of CECOMSA's products in the gaming market. In her opinion, “over the last 5 years, the gaming sector has been investing in technology and standardisation of its equipment. The main competitors have trusted us to be their equipment supplier”.
Talking about the expectations in the Latin American market, and in particular in the Dominican Republic, she highlighted that “the gaming sector in the Dominican Republic is growing exponentially, being the guild with more establishments at national level and with the largest number of collaborators”.
Regarding the interaction with the attendees at the event, Rodriguez mentioned that “the GAT fair brings together all the competitors in the gaming sector. It is a space to do business and interact with customers,” which allows for valuable connections in a collaborative environment.
On the challenges facing CECOMSA in the region, she commented that “customers are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of equipment quality and after-sales service". She stated that ‘"he challenge of price competition has diminished due to a more informed customer”.
In relation to regulation in the sector, Rodriguez emphasised that “we are in a digital world. We must advocate for regulation that allows the sector to grow online”, which is essential for the future of the market.
Finally, speaking about the business opportunities in the Dominican Republic for the gaming industry, Rosa Rodriguez concluded: “The industry is constantly growing, every day there are new games and new platforms. There are always opportunities”.
